Reign:Mary Queen of Scots - Adelaide Kane
This is the show synopsis Reign which chronicles the rise to power of Mary Queen of Scots when she arrives in France as a 15-year-old, betrothed to Prince Francis, and with her three best friends as ladies-in-waiting. It details the secret history of survival at French Court amidst fierce foes, dark forces, and a world of sexual intrigue.
I have found discrepancies in the different articles and historian facts of Mary Queen of Scots. So below may be inaccurate.
She was reigning Queen of Scots from December 14, 1542 until her enforced abdication on July 24, 1567. She was also the queen consort of France from July 10, 1559 to December 5, 1560 through her marriage to Francis II, King of France. After his death, she returned to Scotland where she married twice more - firstly to Lord Henry Darnley (father of her only surviving child) and after his murder, she married James Hepburn, earl of Bothwell. Her Catholic faith and private life made her deeply unpopular with many of her subjects. She faced several rebellions and was eventually imprisoned. She escaped to England, where her claim to the English throne antagonised her father's cousin, Elizabeth I, who placed her under house arrest. After two decades, she was arrested and tried for conspiring Elizabeth's death. She was beheaded in February 1587, claiming hers was the fate of a Catholic martyr at the time of her death. Her son, James, who was a Protestant, succeeded to the English throne when Elizabeth died childless in 1603. (iMDb)
